Weighted Plush Revisions Update

I sent in the revision sheets and some photos of similar style plush to show the manu what kinda floppiness I wanted for these.

I'm hoping they can achieve the larger floppy plush style I'm going for. The weighted plush in theory should be able to sit up if posed, lay down, and also be floppy enough to put around your neck or on your shoulder. 

I also showed them photos of the Nyx from the old manu on how the claws were done. 

For Athena beyond the claws, I asked about getting larger eyes for her. I think that will help a lot. And for Nyx I let them know the inner ears, beak, and the front claws need to be the shorter pile fabric. 

I will update everyone again once I get some new photos or any news from my manu. For now have some side views of the first draft samples of them!

Weighted Plush: New Manu Photos Update - Teacup Production Update

-- Weighted Plush Update --

Got the photos of the weighted plush from the new manu for Athena and Nyx. I have asked for some additional photos as well as either a photo/video of a dangle text for floppiness. I will share those once I get them.

Both Athena and Nyx from the new manu are def giving the vintage plush vibes I try to give my handmade creatures. So that makes me happy! Now to just get them exactly how I have been envisioning them.


I asked them to do safety eyes instead of embroidery to get to closer to the look of my handmade Terragryff plush. For Athena I think the eyes need moved slightly. Beak size looks great, as well as the ears. (There is still thin plastic over the safety eyes just for the sample)

The body needs some work, so I will be drawing over the photos to send revisions. The front claws also need fixed, so I will be showing them the claws of the Nyx from the old manu to tell them how I want them done.

This version also doesn't include any embroidery. 

What do you guys think of this version of Athena so far?



Nyx's eyes look great and her ears too.

They used the longer pile fur on her inner ears, beak, and front claws. So I will have them change that to the 1mm pile minky instead.

I got the pricing numbers for the Athena and Nyx teacup plush. They are looking good. 
The only costs I'm waiting to hear final price on for these is the safety testing. Once I know that we will be putting in the big order for them!

Ohio Renaissance Festival - Sept/Oct

I won't be a vendor here, but I will be attending most weekends. I will likely have a Terragryff or two with me as well. Or another of my creatures. I have one of the later day season passes, so I will be there at 2pm-7pm on the days I attend. 

Curiosities and Cryptids Festival - September 14th - Medina, OH

I will be a vendor! I will share the map of my vendor booth location once I know where it will be. 

Newark Pride 2025 - October 4th - Newark OH

I will be a vendor again this year! Can't wait to see everyone again.

CryptidCon & Curios Festival - October 11th, 2025 - Chardon, OH 

This will be my first time vending at this one. But I am excited to see how it goes. 

Ironton WizardFest 2025 - November 8th-9th, 2025 - Ironton, OH

We will be back at Ironton WizardFest again. This year we will have a stand alone booth out in front of the big tents next to Ro-Na Theater. Gotta work on planning my booth layout for this year. 

And as always we have a few more events we hope to vend this year, but are waiting to hear back from still.

Not really an update per se, but I'm still waiting on the new manu to get me the first sample of the weighted plush. I heard from them last week that they were working on it still, but I haven't been sent photos yet.

I will be emailing again tonight to check in and see if there is any news. 

Thank you all for being patient! I really want the weighted Terragryff plush to be perfect for you all and have them be a great cuddle buddy.

Currently waiting on the final cost price quotes for Athena and Nyx from the new manu. Once I have those I will be getting them into production.

Production for them once started should take about a month. 

I will keep you all updated on when that starts!

Matsuricon 2025 - Aug 29-31st - Columbus, OH 

I will be at Matsuricon at the TrotCon booth in the vendor hall all weekend! We will have a bunch of TrotCon merch, as well as the Peanut Bucker & Friends Plush we collabed with LittleSofts on. I will also have the Terragryffs with me at the booth if anyone wants to stop by and see them in person!

Weighted & Teacup Sample Plush Photos - Weighted Plush from new Manu Update

I will be putting in the order for the Nyx and Athena Teacup plush very soon. So I will keep everyone updated on their production.


I was finally able to get some good photos of the weighted Nyx from the old manu. Her front claws look pretty close to the artwork finally. But I'm still not happy with how her front legs are positioned. Hoping that I will like what the new manu does body shape wise, or that they will be able to get closer to my vision. 


The Teacup version of Athena is perfect. She exudes the feral goblin energy that is Athena the barn owl Terragryff. The new manu nailed her design almost perfectly on the first try. 


The Teacup version of Nyx is way too adorable in person. I love the way her eyes look like they are glowing. Once we had gotten the body shape perfected with Athena, Nyx was easy for them to do. Check out her toe beans on her back feet.

--- Comparison between the old and new Manus ---

Its like night and day between the two manus. The new manu certainly nailed my design and vision for the plush. The old manu did not. 

I had told the old manu to make the plush larger as originally with the Eudora and Whimsy plush they made them the wrong size. When Nyx and Athena arrived, they were still the wrong size.

I heard from them last night and we should get photos within a week for the first prototype. Which will generally be body shape and then we can go from there.

--- General Life Update ---

I will be moving very soon. This is a sudden new development. But that shouldn't affect anything plush wise. As where I am moving to is already where I was planning on working on packing/shipping the plush orders from once they come in.

If you will be at either the Pickerington Wizard Faire (Aug 9th - Pickerington, OH) or at Akron Pride (Aug 23rd - Akron, OH), I will have all the Terragryff sample plush with me at my booths. So people can check them out in person!

I will also be at Matsuricon the last weekend of August at the TrotCon booth. I will very likely have the Terragryffs with me there too.

Sorry for the lack of updates, I have been swamped with work for TrotCon the convention I run. It's in a week! 

I wanted to let you all know the sample plush from the new manu are on the way to me! I will have them with me at TrotCon if anyone is going and wants to see them. 

Going to do my best to get lots of photos of them all during the con, as well as weighted Nyx from the original manu as she did arrive. Just been busy and haven't had time to do a proper photoshoot with her yet.

The new manu is working on samples for weighted Athena and Nyx. We should have photos of those in early August.
